Christian women’s group will host event on Feb. 8

OGLESBY — Women At Our BEST (Building, Encouraging, Strengthening and Teaching) will host an event from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, at the Oglesby Union Church in Oglesby.

The keynote speaker will be Carole Ledbetter, a speaker consultant for Stonecroft, an international women’s ministry, and the author of two books, “Who Am I Now?” published in 2007, and “Carole’s Columns,” published in 2016. Her books are available at Prairie Fox Books in Ottawa, online or from Redemption Press.

Ledbetter is a frequent writer for The Write Team at The Times newspaper in Ottawa. She and her husband, Don, are the parents of three sons and have six grandchildren. They live in Ottawa and are members of River Valley Evangelical Free Church. Her topic for the meeting will be “A Captured Heart.”

February is Heart Health Month. Sandy Marini will share tips on keeping hearts healthy.

Isabel Lueck will play her violin. The theme song for this year will be “The Heart of Worship” by Matt Redman.

Light refreshments will be served.

The prayer rooms will be open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
