At 1:19 a.m. Nov. 25, deputies, along with Lostant EMS, responded to the intersection of Burr Oak Drive and North 14th Road in Hope Township for a single-vehicle accident. Kyra A. Herron, 21, of Magnolia was eastbound on North 14th Road. Herron stated she fell asleep, went off the road, struck a mailbox and entered the ditch. She refused treatment at the scene and was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
