Lostant Grade School hosts Veterans Day program

LOSTANT — Lostant Grade School hosted a Veterans Day program on Nov. 11. Members of the America Legion, Nick Poppelwell and Steven Chambers, did a folding of the flag and presented the flag to Dr. Sandra Malahy. Doyle Cate played taps, and Doug Severson was the key speaker. Students from the third and fourth grades did a skit based on the book “The America’s White Table.” Students from each classroom had displays about different conflicts. A slide show honoring the Wall of Honor Heroes was shown. Students read their essays about what they thought a veteran was. After the ceremony, veterans enjoyed refreshments.
