Board plans to review L-P High School partnership

Only two Lostant students attending LaSalle-Peru this fall

LOSTANT — Change could be coming regarding Lostant’s partnership with LaSalle-Peru High School.

The Lostant School District is in what Superintendent Sandra Malahy described as “the very beginning stages of looking at the intergovernmental agreement with L-P High School, because a dearth of Lostant students attend L-P. This year, the district has two students doing so.

A more certain change is in regard to the school’s financial software, as the current provider will no longer be available in June 2020.

While a number of districts changed companies for financial software last school year, Lostant has waited to do so. Malahy described the decision as holding out “for the kinks to be worked out.”

Sometime during this school year, the district needs to make a decision regarding new software, she said.
