OTTAWA — The Putnam County public defender charged in a LaSalle County prostitution sting had his case continued to 9 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7.
Roger Bolin, 65, of Hennepin was charged with solicitation of sex along with eight others during the March sting. Bolin also is charged with battery.
Police say in court records Bolin grabbed a police informant's shoulder and tried to pull her toward him. Bolin also is said to have made phone calls with the informant to discuss rates for various sexual acts, records show.
Bolin was not present June 27 in court as Judge H. Chris Ryan granted the continuance.
