OGLESBY — Beginning this fall, Illinois Valley Community College will offer the Advanced Certificate in Clinical Massage Therapy for licensed and license-pending massage therapists. With the certificate, massage therapists expand their practice into a deeper clinical focus within health care. “The two required courses include all aspects of health care throughout the lifespan and address advanced assessment of pathology, orthopedic conditions, professional development and specific massage therapy techniques for both acute and chronic conditions,” program coordinator Roxanne Cherpeske said.
