If unable to attend registration on Aug. 3, call the school office to schedule an appointment.

Summer meal program

To help ensure students don’t go hungry, even during the summer break, free summer meals, funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, will be offered to children aged 18 and younger at summer meals sites across central Illinois.

Many locations also offer a variety of educational and recreational activities so they cannot only eat a healthy meal, but also stay active and enjoy being with their friends. Sites are registered with the USDA and are held at safe local places such as schools, churches and community centers.

Free summer meals will help families save money and stretch food budgets.

Food served is healthy and follows nutritional guidelines.

No application or proof of income is needed, just bring your child to a summer meals site in your community.

For more information or to find a location near you, visit www.fns.usda.gov/summerfoodrocks or call the school office at 1-815-368-3392.

Summer school

Summer school will be held from 8:30 to 11:10 a.m. on July 29-31 and Aug. 1, 5-8 and 12-15.

This program is funded through a federal grant. Activities will include instruction in math, reading, art and more.

The summer school registration forms have been sent home with students.
