LASALLE — Directors Neal Phelps and Phil Grant announced auditions for Stage 212’s summer production of “Hello, Dolly” will be held at the theater, 700 First St. in LaSalle, at 6:30 p.m. Friday, April 26, and 9 a.m. Saturday, April 27. Callbacks will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 27.
Five women and four men will be cast in a variety of lead and supporting roles. They’ll also be casting a dancing ensemble and chorus, both of which will fill additional supporting roles.
Those auditioning should prepare up to 30 seconds of a classic musical theater song to sing a cappella. Those auditioning for the dance ensemble should wear appropriate clothing and dance shoes/laced sneakers. There will also be readings from the script for those interested in larger roles. These materials will be released prior to auditions.
Those interested should come prepared with a list of their entire summer availability/conflicts. Auditions are open to anyone entering their freshmen year of high school or older, regardless of prior theatrical experience.
