HENNEPIN — The 2019 fishing season at Hennepin and Hopper Lakes begins May 15 and goes through Labor Day. A fishing permit from the Wetlands Initiative is required, in addition to a state of Illinois Sport Fishing License. Wetlands Initiative permit applications will be available starting May 15 at the kiosk by the Dixon Refuge boat launch.
