IVAC plans breakfast seminar Sept. 12

Performance consultant Donna Honold to speak

PERU — The Illinois Valley Area Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development will hold its Business Breakfast Seminar at 7:15 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12, at Mario’s Maples in Peru.

The focus of the seminar will be “Goal Setting through Emotional Intelligence.”

Speaker Donna Honold will share her 25-plus years of education, experience and training to help people and their work teams interact, build rapport, connect and collaborate with others in order to achieve overall goals.

This session will focus on how to positively influence others. Registration for the seminar is $16 for members and $18 for non-members. A hot breakfast buffet will be provided at 7:15 a.m. Reservations must be made by calling 815-223-0227 no later than noon on Tuesday, Sept. 11. The breakfast is open to the public.

Honold is a performance consultant, helping companies and individuals to achieve more in the workplace. She has more than 25 years of training and education experience, with a master’s degree in adult education from the University of South Dakota.

Honold has certification in DDI, Achieve Global, Myers Briggs and Change Management. Most recently, she has become a certified practitioner of Genos Emotional Intelligence.
