Erin Salz and Ethan Wilborn announce their engagement

Erin Salz of Amity, Ark., formerly of Tonica, and Ethan Wilborn of Louisville are announcing their engagement and approaching marriage. She is the daughter of Jon and Jolene Salz of Tonica, and he is the son of Kevin and Mindy Wilborn of Collinsville.

The bride-elect graduated from Putnam County High School in Granville in 2010, from the University of Illinois in Champaign in 2014 with a Bachelor of Integrative Biology and from the University of Missouri in Columbia, Mo., in 2018 with a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. She is a mixed practice veterinarian employed by Providence Veterinary Care in Malvern, Ark.

Her fiancé graduated from Collinsville High School in Collinsville in 2009, from Murray State University in Murray in 2013 with a pre-veterinary degree and from the University of Missouri in Columbia in 2017 with a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. He is a racetrack veterinarian employed by Kentucky Equine Medical Associates in Louisville.

The couple will be married Oct. 27.
