Tri-DENT agents arrest five people on drug charges

STREATOR — Five people were taken into custody on drug-related charges following a Tri-DENT Drug Task Force investigation on June 19.

Brittney N. Savage, 26, of Wenona; Robert Gula, 55, of Streator; and Eric S. Gholson, 35, of Wenona were charged with the Class 2 felony of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance (crack cocaine).

Alexander T. King, 28, of Streator was held on a LaSalle County warrant from a lengthy Tri-DENT investigation of heroin sales in Streator where he had delivered heroin to Tri-DENT agents on several occasions.

James R. Stillwell, 53, of Streator was held on a LaSalle County warrant for failure to appear on an unrelated charge. Tri-DENT Drug Task Force conduced a controlled purchase of less than one gram of crack cocaine from a residence in Streator. Following the purchase, Savage and Gholson left the residence. Tri-DENT, at this time, in possession of search warrant for the house they left as well as Savage and King, Tri-DENT had Streator Police conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle in Streator.

About 6:46 p.m., the Streator Emergency Response Team as well as Tri-DENT agents conducted a search warrant at the house. During the search, agents located multiple items used in the processing/packaging or use of crack cocaine as well as items used in the packaging and use of heroin. Gula, King and Stillwell were located in the residence.
