Narcotic-related arrests made in LaSalle County

Five LaSalle County residents were taken into custody on June 20 for narcotic-related offenses.

Tri-County Drug Enforcement Narcotics Team (Tri-DENT), LaSalle County Sheriff's Office investigators/deputy, Oglesby, Streator and Ottawa Police investigators, Peru Special Investigative Unit (SIU), Mendota and ISP K-9, Marseilles Police, Senica Police, Illinois DOC Fugitive Apprehension Team and the Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) combed the Illinois Valley in an effort to locate and arrest pending warrants on narcotics dealers in the area. The warrants were obtained with the assistance of the LaSalle County State's Attorney's Office.

The following were apprehended:

• Alexis M. Nowakowski, 24, of LaSalle was arrested for the Class 2 felony of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance (heroin) following a Tri-DENT investigation where Nowakowski delivered less than one gram of heroin. Bond was set at $500,000.

• Douglas C. Brue, 35, of Ottawa was arrested for the Class 2 felony of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance (heroin) following a Tri-DENT investigation where Brue delivered less than one gram of heroin. Bond was set at $500,000.

• Darryl L. Rissman, 33, of Mendota was arrested for the Class 2 felony of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance (heroin) following a Tri-DENT investigation where Rissman delivered less than one gram of heroin. Bond was set at $500,000.

• Tony T.R. Burns, 22, of Ottawa was arrested for the Class 2 felony of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance (cocaine) following a Tri-DENT investigation where Burns delivered less than one gram of heroin. Bond was set at $500,000.

• Julie A. Williamson, 48, of Senica was arrested for three Class 2 felonies of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance (cocaine) following a Tri-DENT investigation where Williamson delivered more than one gram of cocaine multiple times. Bond was set at $1,000,000.

• Edward P. Mayerchin, 41, of Peru was arrested for the Class 1 felony of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance (cocaine) following a Peru SIU investigation where Mayerchin delivered less than one gram of heroin. Bond was set at $1,000,000.
