Explore life as a college student while you’re still in high school

URBANA-CHAMPAIGN — Registration for the 2018 4-H Illini Summer Academies through the University of Illinois Extension will open on March 1. Dates this year are Sunday, June 24, through Thursday, June 28.

This program offers teens the opportunity to explore the University of Illinois campus and many degree programs and careers. Illini Summer Academies is open to any Illinois youth who is currently in grades 8-12.

The academies include:

Sciences — biology, chemistry, anthropology and animal science.

Engineering — electrical computer and aerospace.

Technology and Media Arts — journalism, video and film, digital fabrication, theatre, dance, fashion and creative writing.

Applied Sciences and Health — veterinary medicine and human development.

Sponsors include: Illinois Farm Bureau, Farm Credit Services, Growmark, Women Changing the Face of Agriculture, H. Richard and Sarah McFarland Endowment for Youth Leadership, DuPont/Pioneer, Illinois 4-H Foundation, Human Development and Family Studies Department.
