OGLESBY — Illinois Valley Community College’s Continuing Education Office will offer “Food Service Sanitation” (CEU-1503-01) from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 17, in CTC123 at the Oglesby campus.
The Applied Food Service Sanitation course is designed to assist the manager or potential manager in applying sanitation principles in food service establishments. During the session, students will take the national ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification exam.
The class is required in Illinois for food service manager certification and is accepted by the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH). Upon successful completion of the course, students will attain a national license that is valid in Illinois for five years.
The cost is $119. Required textbook is: ServSafe Manager, 7th Edition and is available at the IVCC Bookstore online at www.ivccbookstore.com. Due to the fast paced nature of the single-session class, students should purchase the book in advance and begin review prior to class.
