OGLESBY — Illinois Valley Community College’s Financial Aid office will host a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) Completion on Saturday, Oct. 21, in E214. Walk-in assistance is available 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Director of Financial Aid Patty Williamson recommends students file their 2018-19 FAFSA by Nov. 15 for Monetary Award Program (MAP) eligibility.
“With the FAFSA deadlines moved ahead and the demand for MAP dollars, students should really file their FAFSA as soon as possible,” said Williamson. “This is an opportunity to complete the online FAFSA with financial aid staff available to assist you.”
The workshop is free and both students and parents are invited with no appointment necessary. Participants should bring their 2016 taxes and W-2 forms. To save time, students and parents may want to create their FSA ID and password at https:fsaid.ed.gov.
