Mr. and Mrs. James Ebner will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, at the Oglesby American Legion, 410 Clark St.
James L. Ebner and the former Alice J. Argubright were married Oct. 7, 1967, in Holy Family Church in Oglesby by the Rev. Carl Mayes. Margie (Argubright) Walter was the matron of honor and Elaine (Cardani) Lance was a bridesmaid. Larry Quade was best man and Jerry Ebner was a groomsman. Ushers were Wayne Lance and Bill Walter.
The couple are the parents of three children, Terry (Steve) Kamnikar of Oglesby, Mike (Jen) Ebner of Chippewa Falls, Wis., and Tammy (Mitch) Landgraf of Mendota. They also have five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Before retirement, James worked at Caterpillar in Aurora. Alice was a homemaker and retired as a school bus driver. The couple are members of Holy Family Church, Oglesby Elks, Slovenian Union of America Branch 89 and the Oglesby American Legion, and Auxiliary Post 237.
