OGLESBY — Illinois Valley Community College will host an agriculture open house from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 11, in CTC124-125 of the Peter Miller Community Technology Center.
University booths will open at 5:30 p.m. followed by the IVCC ag open house at 6 p.m. and university ag representatives will discuss their programs at 7 p.m.
The event includes campus tours, a chance to meet IVCC ag instructors and current ag students.
IVCC ag instructor and program coordinator Willard Mott said, “Participants will get a chance to discover opportunities in agriculture at IVCC and Illinois universities as well.
“Whether you’re a current high school student thinking about ag at IVCC or a four-year school, an IVCC student interested in our program or looking to transfer on, we’re excited for you to attend the open house.”
