STREATOR — Community Players of Streator Inc. has set auditions for the comedy “I Hate Hamlet” which will be the fifth production in the group’s diamond jubilee season.
Auditions are scheduled at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 24, and Sunday, June 25, at Engle Lane Theatre, 1012 Columbus Road in Streator. Director Larry Kelsey will be casting three men and three women with no previous theatrical experience required. Those interested will be asked to do readings from the script.
“I’m looking for people who want to have fun and can really dive into creating the characters in this funny show,” Kelsey said. “I’m thrilled to be directing this show that pays homage to community theatre for Engle Lane’s 60th season.”
