Stage 212 presents ‘Butcher the Bakers’ screening

LASALLE — Stage 212 is bringing the movies back to 700 First St. in LaSalle, and spotlighting local talent, with a special screening of “Butcher the Bakers” at 7 p.m. Friday, June 23, and Saturday, June 24.

“Butcher the Bakers” is the latest film from Ottawa native Tyler Amm, and features several Stage 212 alumni, including Ryan Ziegler, Sean Walsh, Alex Dittmer, Dave Roden, Scot Smigel, Kelly Johnson, Chris Aubry, Marie Pinter, Larry Kelsey and Brian Rehor.

“Butcher the Bakers” tells the tale of a Grim Reaper who terrorizes a small town, killing and collecting souls for a purpose only he knows. Sam and Martin, slackers who work at the local bakery, are hired by a mysterious stranger to stop him from killing again. A ridiculous journey unfolds, rife with blood, guts, monsters and cookies.
