Opinion

We shouldn’t be so naive

Recently, two Democratic, colored politicians made disparaging remarks about Trump and FBI Director James Comey. John Lewis (who marched  with Martin Luther King) said Trump’s election was illegitimate. And Maxine Waters said FBI Director James Comey was a disgrace for restarting the emails before the election was over.

First, John Lewis is wrong about Trump’s victory. He won the election fair and square and without the help of the Russians. Also, where was Maxine Waters when “initially” FBI Director Comey did not impugn Hillary Clinton because what Hillary did was worse than what General Petraeus did, and he was forced to resign.

The election is over, and we must unite behind President Donald Trump. I predict Vladimir Putin, right after Trump becomes President, will along with Trump stop the war in Syria. They will make Assad resign (he is the president of Syria) and bring an end to the fighting. This will energize Trump’s stature as president of the United States.

I don’t see Putin as a threat to the United States. I think he will work with Trump, and it will be great to have an ally like Russia that will counteract the threat the Chinese are applying to the United States in the South China Seas. I don’t like the media implying Putin is a bad actor in the realm of politics. It’s the media that is trying to destroy Trump’s presidency even before it starts

What we should do is to pray not only for Trump but for Putin. Vladimir Putin, not long ago, flew from Russia to the Vatican to speak with Pope Benedict XVI. He can’t be that bad when he seeks the advice of Pope Benedict. I believe he is an Orthodox Catholic and goes to church with his wife every Sunday.

If you think that it is only Russia that tries to steal our secrets and is involved in our politics, remember, not too long ago it was Obama who sent his emissaries to Israel to try and stop prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu from winning his election.

And the United States does involve itself in every country’s’ problems, from affecting their elections to stealing secrets that we need to win in any endeavor. We can’t be that naive thinking that we don’t use cyber security to affect their economic, political and even moral problems too.
