LaSalle law firm receives award

LASALLE — At the 2016 Jury Verdict Reporter Trial Excellence Awards Ceremony, attorneys Gary R. Eiten and William P. Hintz of the law firm Herbolsheimer, Duncan, Eiten and Hintz P.C. of LaSalle received awards for outstanding defense verdict in an automobile case.

Eiten and Hintz were recognized for their successful representation of the defendant in a Kendall County wrongful death case tried in May 2015, Vantreese v. Stewart Spreading, in which the plaintiff had sought $26 million, but was awarded only $220,240.

The Jury Verdict Reporter is a division of Chicago-based Law Bulletin Publishing Co. The publication recognizes superior outcomes and record verdicts achieved by lawyers from both the plaintiff and defense bars throughout Illinois. The ceremony was held on Oct. 19 at the Chicago Cultural Center.
