4-H ambassadors crowned

HENRY — Marshall-Putnam 4-H crowned its 4-H Ambassadors for 2016-17 on July 19 during the 4-H Show. This year’s ambassadors are Kira Griffin, Taylor Hofstatter, Dylan Petrimoulx and Logan Sasso.

Griffin is a member of the Wenona Highlighters. She is the daughter of Ken and Tina Griffin of Minonk and attends Fieldcrest High School. She has been an active 4-H member. She is involved with Federation, attends leadership programs, has held many officer positions and volunteers in her community. Her favorite project during her 4-H career is food and nutrition, and she is pursuing a career in culinary arts. As an ambassador, Griffin would like to share how 4-H can change one’s life like it did for her.

Hofstatter is a member of the L-W Achievers. She is the daughter of Kraig and Holly Hofstatter of Lowpoint. During her 4-H career, she has held several officer positions and has been active in her school. She is in the Class of 2018 at Lowpoint-Washburn High School. She enjoys showing her animals and visual arts projects at the fair. She plans to major in ag business.

Petrimoulx is a member of the Wenona Highlighters. He is the son of Troy and Wendy Petrimoulx of Rutland and attends Fieldcrest High School. This summer he had the opportunity to attend Illini Summer Academies at the University of Illinois to study electrical and computer engineering. He is active in his community as well as 4-H Federation. His favorite projects during his 4-H career are robotics, computers and cattle. He is planning to join the service after graduation.

Sasso is a member of the Bell Plain Hustlers. He is the son of Bob and Kim Sasso of Washburn. As a 4-H member, he has shown his swine for the past eight years. He is in the Class of 2017 at Lowpoint-Washburn High School. He plans to major in animal science/pre-veterinary.
